#3484 is classed as SD40-2s and mechanically it is. Appearance wise they still look like the SD45 from when they were built. They lost their 20 cylinder prime movers in favor of the 16 cylinder, 3000 hp version. Weights were added to make up for the lost weight with a smaller engine swap.
